How much can you eat?

Recommended Posts

I was sleeved Aug 21,13, so I am 6 1/2 weeks out. I have lost 27 pounds and am happy with this amount. My diet has been mostly Protein and some carbs from veggies. My problem or concern is the amount that I can eat. I can easily take in 3/4 of a cup of food, for example, tuna 2oz and cottage cheese together =1/2 cup and peas 1/4cup, all together. I am full after eating it and my calories are low,but I a worried about my restriction. How much can you all eat after 6 weeks? I have to worry about something?

Do you have a nutritionist that gave u guidelines fot the phases u r going through. The weight management program where I am having my surgery gave me details on have much to eat and what to eat through each step. The last step..phase i5 (eating for lifetime)....I will eat 4 of food oz, 3 meals a day.. 2 oz of Protein each meal. The rest of oz of veggie, whole grains, etc., then 1 protein snack..my total protein per day should be at least 60.. Do u have a nutritionist to help u out.. It would help u out. I'm 5 feet 1 inch.. If u are taller, then you have to consume closer to 80 grams of protein per day.

Honestly it depends on the specific food. For some reason, some foods seem to "stick" more than others...

What you're describing sounds pretty normal. Remember that doctors use different size boughies to "size" your sleeve. The way my surgeon explained it in my 6-week follow up last Monday, there's no wrong or right size...some prefer smaller while others go larger.

loose weight. I am still only eating about 500-800 cals and keep my

Protein above 60,drink my 64 oz of Fluid. Thanks again.
