Harris1❤ 28 Posted October 4, 2013 Hello my PCP was very negative about the surgery as well and he didn't no much about the process so I got a new PCP and she has been great about my decision. I'm approved and I did get cold feet myself but not changing my mine!!!! you should talk to the surgeon and his/her nurse because they do this surgery every week. Good luck
Debra Rodriguez 8 Posted October 4, 2013 Thank you Your two cents is worth 1,000,000 to me. I agree he gave me a reality check. He has me journaling every thing that goes in my mouth. Of course I am using fitness pal. You don't realize all those empty calories that are in food. There is sugar in milk. Didn't know that. Coincidently I got my approval letter for my surgery last night. Gonna keep seeing my pcp for a couple more months if the surgeon office will let me. I have learned so much about this but when my pcp said that it scared me and made me question "do I really know this". Ya all are amazing. And with this forum I know I'm in good hands taking the journey with everybody. Thank you for your input. Good luck on your on going success.

Again thank you for your input. Means a lot to me. Good luck on your continued success.
7 Bites_Jen 479 Posted October 8, 2013 The sleeve is one of the safest surgeries out there. The largest risk is of a leak - but that doesn't happen very often, and when it does it is caught quickly and taken care of. There is little risk of death or dying from the surgery. Your last post was in August - how has it gone since then? Did you have surgery? Where are you at now?

Your last post was in August - how has it gone since then? Did you have surgery? Where are you at now?[/quote'] Insurance approval-done. Dr approval- done. Waiting on the dr I saw to day. Putting fire under her bottom cause if I go into January gotta pay a new deductible. 2013 deductible paid. So as soon as that clearance happens I'm going in for the surgery that's gonna change and save my life. I needed that wake up call from the dr. Put everything in perspective for me. Plus this forums has helped so much. December2013 I will be sleeved!!!!
