I am going 3 months post op. Are peanuts allowed in our diet, I had orders right after surgery that I could not eat nuts- was it because of the recent surgery or is it not allowed forever ? Peanuts are high in Protein and I like them. Help

I've been eating them since the 6 week point. Just chew them very well - yum! :)

it's to ensure that peanut pieces don't irritate or get stuck in the healing stomach... I assume OK now, but chew chew chew!!

I went to my pre- and post-op diet class this past Monday. I was told that I could start adding nuts to my diet at 3 month post-op, and chew, chew, chew.

Nuts are good. It's what helps me with my snacking urges & reaching my daily Protein goal. I started adding them to my diet at 5 mons.
