Catherine707 253 Posted October 3, 2013 That is definitely something to worry about. I started counseling after my surgery to deal with the loss of my best friend, food. It has been a challenge to find better ways to deal with issues than to reach for food, but I am doing pretty well overall. I think acknowledging the issue is the first step. Making up your mind to use food differently also makes important changes possible.
Carlotta 57 Posted October 3, 2013 I probably will be addicted to buying clothes after I get to my goal.. I love to buy new clothes, shoes, accessories... But instead of a new addiction that is harmful, why don't we get addicted to the good things in life, I figure I will more energy and free time... we can read more, take on a new hobby, like flower gardening, redecorate your bedroom or any part of your home, help others going through a weight loss surgery like a friend, volunteer, if u don't work like me...(I retired 3 years ago). Get a part-time job that is fun ..go back to school, etc etc.there is so much in life we are still waiting to experience.. I love to travel, so I will do more of this..there is a big world waiting for me. 2 ProudGrammy and gmanbat reacted to this
