Just curious how people are doing with their SCARS, I am getting the regular 5-6 incisions and am scared of the SCARS. Just need a little reassurance that its not that bad!? I already bought coco-butter and bio-oil and am looking into Scar away silicone Patches. Any other advice? I really am not looking forward to the scars!!! I relly don't want them holding me back from a possible bikini:)How long until fully faded?

It's not that bad, plus it sure as heck beats stretch marks. I'm dark chocolate complexion and my incisions are flat and barely noticeable. I have to search for them when I want to moisturize them and I only use Vaseline. Also there coming closer together as the weight comes off... But again scars from this surgery are nothing compared to scars from breast cancer, amputations from diabetes, triple bypass heart surgeries and the likes!

I'm 3 weeks post-op and my scars are already fading. I've used mederma on them everyday and I don't anticipate them to be noticeable after a few months. I was very concerned about scarring before surgery and I am very relieved that they were not anywhere near as awful as I imagined.

Not sleeved yet but had my gallbladder out last year with similar incisions. I can't even find them and I did nothing to them! I had an upper chest skin cancer removed the same week and that did keloid but the laparoscopy scars are invisible on my stomach.
