tampa 55 Posted October 8, 2013 That is true. And your own bed. The Marriott was nice. Everyone there was nice. Could have been worse. How is your recovery doing?

atlchick 42 Posted October 11, 2013 Samuel drove us but we had to leave at 6am due to the flight times of some of the others I had to drive with. He said early in the morning the fast past isn't open? So maybe that's why he didn't use it on some?
atlchick 42 Posted October 11, 2013 (edited) im on day 14, i feel pretty much back to normal now. i am able to eat a full cream of chicken or chicken noodle Soup in one stting. i feel like i can eat a lot have never thrown up from overeating. lost 11 pounds from a week ago also! What are you eating mostly? I am only day 6 so 1 more week of liquids pretty much. Im trying to stay away from the juices so right now drinking Premier Protein, Vitamin Water, regular water, unsweet Decaf tea. Not really doing broth b/c I don't like it much. Any alternatives? I think when we get to where you are at, we can start to expand so looking forward to that. Edited October 11, 2013 by atlchick
Chase30 114 Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) I have yogurt, oatmeal, and mashed up chicken noodle Soup as my 3 meals, then I drink Water and maybe 1 Protein drink between meals.Start with very smooth purees like yogurt and then go thicker and thicker as you get more accustomed. If you don't like broth, buy Campbell's chicken noodle soup and just strain out the noodles, tastes much better IMO. Also cream of chicken is pretty good. Chase30 114 Posted October 13, 2013 I think oatmeal is great, add milk to get an even texture, this will def prep your stomach for soft foods. 3 days ago I tried eggs and it hurt going down. Went back to oatmeal for a few days. Tried eggs again today and I ate everything with no trouble.
