My big fat bucket list

Recommended Posts

I want to go for a run without feeling like a sweaty dying mess.

I want to walk into a room and not be the biggest one there.

I want to go out to dinner and eat as little as my thin friends.

I want to ride my bike around Lake Washington multiple times a week like I used to.

I want knee high boots.

I want to be strong and confident.

I want to enjoy hiking uphill (that's all we have in Washington State!).

I want to not feel like my husband should be ashamed of his fat and dumpy wife.

I want to have sexy times anywhere in the house.

I want to not feel ashamed about the way I look.

I want to not judge myself as a bad person because I'm fat.

I want to be happy at whatever weight I end up, whether I stop right now or continue losing all the way to my goal.

Oh, and I'd like some nutella. Just a taste. And have it be enough.

I forgot crossing my legs. I have to say that was a big one for me. I love being able to cross my legs & keep them that way though out church!

I'm on the way to Florida as we speak so maybe I can cross a few more off my list. :-)

I had my first taste of Nutella years ago in Canada long before it was here (at least I never saw it here until a few years ago)...it is definitely a magical taste!!! To me it tastes like my absolutely FAV candy "ferrero rocher"

I think Nutella is disgusting.. But then again, we've had it over here since forever and I don't like fake chocolate. Hate Fererro Rocher, too.. I know, I'll go and sit in the naughty corner now..

It's not offensive!!

It's called self preservation!!

A spoon, me and jar of that creamy nutty chocolate deliciousness... And it would be over!

Neener, neener, neener. :)

Last year on a 3-week vacation to France & Italy I ate at least that much Nutella after I had my first-ever taste in Paris. We went back last month and this time I only lifted a jar (and not even the biggest jar!) for a pic. I was pretty pleased. ;)

Another 10 lbs and I'll take another pic for you, Laura!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
