rensterness 375 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi Julie!! How are u feeling!?!?!
TheNewSleevedJulie 43 Posted January 10, 2014 I'm feeling great.. Still sore and tired but that's mostly because I don't sleep we'll in general. Today I haven't even taken pain meds. I'm down 13lbs since surgery... I have a question for you tho.. After your surgery did you feel hungry!? Did puréed stuff make you feel full? 1 rensterness reacted to this
rensterness 375 Posted January 10, 2014 Well congrats! :-) About two weeks after surgery I was so tired on liquids and mushy foods! It wasn't the fact that I was hungry, it was the fact that I was just tired of that crap and wanted to try something real (took me a bit to realize that). On weeks two I sneaked a sugar free Reese's and let it melt in my mouth. Week three I snuck a very small stuffed mushroom (just the stuffing part). I needed to taste normal food lol. It didn't hurt me at all, three months out and down over 80 pounds, under the doctors goal weight already and 6 pounds from my personal (that's if I don't change it lol). The being hungry thing isn't really hunger, to me it was just wanting to taste normal food! When u are six weeks out from surgery and have something more normal you will realize your body wasn't hungry three weeks ago, but that it just wanted a change lol. CHEW everything VERY WELL You will be amazed when you get to solids how quickly you get full, but how SATISFIED you will be!!! I hope this helped :-)
TheNewSleevedJulie 43 Posted January 11, 2014 I think you're right about the wanting to taste normal food thing. I don't find myself extremely hungry but I do get hungry. How much are you able to eat now a days? And 80lbs in three months is insane!!! How ever did you do that!?
rensterness 375 Posted January 11, 2014 I am eating when I remember lol. I have a Protein shake once a day and I eat a small meal, about three ounces. Some days I hit two meals at three ounces, but not often. I got a dog as a gift so I go for two walks a day, and I recently got the ad twister pro. It's a very basic sit down machine that works on the love handles, abs and arms. Love it and I can do it right in front of the tv lol. I pick and choose my battles. When going out with friends to dinner I know I am able to eat whatever at an extremely small portion, it's what I choose that matters. From a chicken tender I can eat less then half of one, and from that I am TOTALLY SATISFIED. Drinking the Water is also VERY important and cleanses your system. I do not do excessive work out at all. Sit on my rear on the ab twister pro, couple short walks a day and get in my Protein as best I can! My taste buds have totally changed since surgery and i had to switch Protein drinks three times. I now am comfortable and enjoy VI Protein mix that can only be got online or Muscle Milk which has a good variety of flavors and for people that get EBT is can be paid for by that. (I am currently on disability). I had three month follow up and blood work this week and my blood levels have NEVER been so good! My cholesterol is perfecto as well as everything else. I've gone from I believe 16 meds to now 2. Best decision I ever made :-)
TheNewSleevedJulie 43 Posted January 11, 2014 You look like a completely different person!! Amazing.... I am drinking pretty good right now. In fact I think too well... I'm scared I won't have restriction like you have if that makes sense...
TheNewSleevedJulie 43 Posted January 11, 2014 And 12 meds down to two? That's a crazy awesome success in itself. 1 rensterness reacted to this
BrickHouse 358 Posted January 12, 2014 I am a month out. I've lost just over 30 lbs. and I do get hungry! I mean like twisting, churning, growling hungry! But a very small amount of food (usually 1/2 cup or less) fills me up. I'm still not eating tougher meats or any raw fruits or vegetables, but I'm having lots of chili, chicken, fish, and eggs. Oh, and Greek yogurt. That's my go-to food.< /p> Rensterness, how was your Party Lite turn out? I'm an Avon rep myself. If anyone wants a brochure or a link to my 24/7 site, please inbox me. Orders over $30 ship to your door for free all over the country. Sometimes there is free shipping for $10 orders. On the other hand, if anyone wants to sell Avon, it's still only a $10 investment and you can make up to 50% commission. That means you also get your own purchases for up to 50% off. And their free training is second to none! Inbox me for more info. Avon has some really good skin firming lotion by Skin So Soft that I've been using. They also just came out with a new line of smoothing undergarments (think Spanx) that are very reasonably priced and a necessity for those of us with a little loose skin. 1 rensterness reacted to this
