Photo925 100 Posted October 15, 2013 This is slightly off topic for this thread, but I wanted to mention something because you said you are a teacher. I would use that to your advantage. My sister is a teacher and had the surgery over a year ago and because she is a teacher, she put pressure on the schedulers to make it work with her schedule (she was able to move up her surgery to make it fit within the summer break) it seems if you are willing to be flexible with scheduling, then they can work with you rather easily
Rach34 11 Posted October 15, 2013 I meet with my bariatrician on Wednesday to start my six month diet. Anyone else beginning in October hoping to be sleeved in March/April 2014? I Jus started my 6 month diet yesterday! My cal intake is only 1200... Yesterday was a lil rough but I made it... today's been kinda the same. I'm trying to figure out how to space my meals so I won't feel hungry. Lol. Lookin into low cal foods to prepare.... My dietitian suggested: *Breakfast *Snack *Lunch *Snack *Dinner I'm tryin... I heard it gets easier. Good luck to you!! What does ur diet consist of?

mistifish21 1 Posted October 16, 2013 I see my dr tomorrow to begin my six month pre-op diet. I was very disappointed to have to wait since I'm getting married in May and was hoping for a slimmer, sexier me. I'm worried b/c my insurance only covers it if I have a bmi of 35 and a health problem. I have a bmi of 36.5 and am diabetic. I'm worried if I lose weight I won't be approved. I feel stupid worrying I might need to gain weight for a procedure to help me lose.
MKG 3 Posted October 31, 2013 I am also looking at March or April for my surgery. Started seeing dietician in September. Saw her again in October, and have 3 rd appointment with her in November. I have BCBS insurance, and am required to have 6 months of supervised dietary counciling before surgery. I don't have any of the other appointments made yet. I open the dietician or someone at the bariatric office will help me with setting those up. Anxious to get going, but little worried about the small amount of food I'll be able to eat. MaggieMae 5 Posted October 31, 2013 It is interesting how the doctors office's are so different. At my docs, we schedule EVERYTHING out for 6 months. I too only have my doctors copays. thank goodness. that is a huge savings.
