I take 5,000 per day right now. I've taken everything from the rx 50,000 to the 10,000 over the course of last 6 years.

But what seems to have helped was adding metformin for my PCOS. Once that got into me, the D started to actually rise and I felt so much better.

Wow! Nice to see I'm not alone!!! I did go to my PCP and she put me on 5000 IU a day. I am at 26.7 for my D level. I am also having a bone density test tomorrow because my PTH level is high which could mean Osteoperosis. She said if that comes back positive, she will treat it aggressively. Yes gomekast I am from Minnesota! :)
