I'm a morning person!

Recommended Posts

I'm only one week post-op so of course I don't know if this is permanent but I can only hope! I've been waking up at around 5:30 naturally and can't go back to sleep! This is good news for me because I've always wanted to be a morning person. This is certainly a change from several alarms trying to wake me up only to drag myself out after countless snoozes at 7.

Well for me since I had surgery and lost some weight early on I started to sleep a lot better and not waking up 3-5 times a night. So I didn't sleep as much because I was getting a much better sleep. Take that extra time you have and get to the gym or walk/run around the block. Start kicking the extra weight in the face by triple teaming it with the surgery, eating healthy, and working out.

I noticed the same thing. Within a week post-op, I started sleeping about 5 hours/night and would wake up feeling good. I've noticed that I need less sleep since I am eating so much less. I guess the body can do it's recovery process more efficiently if it's not processing food from a late night meal.

At 9 months out, I sleep about 6 to 7 hours. And I often wake up a few minutes before my alarm clock on work days. I've gone from sleeping till 10am to waking up around 7.
