I have started to follow some of the healthier eating patterns that we'll have to adhere to after the surgery. I found an online store that has a great selection. BariatricChoice.com offers a lot of incentives and reward credits. You will receive 20 off your order of 40

or more. It is a secure site . I was able to get 20

off my first purchase of 40 or more. You immediately begin saving and can

get more for your money. You will also receive

20 in reward credits for anyone you refer that orders from bariatricchoice.com. I ordered the 2lb

canister of Roadside Lemonade Syntrax nectar

Protein drink and the Ostrim Natural

beef sticks' date=' and Chocolite bars and instantly

received my 20 off plus free shipping. My

grand total after the credit was 36.36. For

everything.. Anyone who knows about the

Syntrax

nectar, knows it 36.99 by itself. So I'm

extending a referral to anyone that

wants to order from them. You will not be

disappointed.

Just go to: https://www.bariatri...efer/id/112948/

and use the referral code: 8696996

Awesome, I'll look into that as it gets closer. I have a fear of it falling through until it is set in stone!

Hi :D

My surgery is scheduled for December 5th!!! My doctor does not require a pre-op diet but I'll be doing a self imposed diet from now until surgery...a shake for Breakfast and lunch and a lean + green diet.

Thanks AtlantaRed for pointing out this group to me. :)

That must have been very disheartening for you, to have so much success and then have the lap band become ineffective. I read so many posts regarding the band and it being so unsuccessful.

Welcome to the December sleeve group! :D

FitnFab come joint this group ---> http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/96637-december-2013-sleevers-come-in/

I added 2013 to the name to make it different than the other December groups! There are 28 people so far!

I am scheduled for Dec 9th. I'm so excited to finally get this started. I had Lapband Jan 2009. I lost almost 90 pounds then had a slip and revision surgery in May 2010. Then I started having problems again and had it removed in March 2012. I've since gained all the weight back that I previously lost (that has been pretty devastating!). I can't wait to get on the losing track again.

I'm also hoping for Dec :) of this year. I've never had any type of surgery; therefore, I have never taken meds beside over the counter meds. The only thing keeping me from having surgery in November :( is having a long Waite list for a sleep study that is required. So, keeping my fingers crossed that the days go by fast lol

Hi everyone!

I'm Michele from Pennsylvania. My husband and I are both having surgery Friday December 13 ( thank heaven I'm not superstitious ;)) insurance gods permitting. We've done our entire 6 month program together so it's been pretty awesome. I tease the med people that we're their BOGO.

He has a lot of med problems that we're hoping will be corrected by surgery. Hes the former great condition athletic type that gained a lot when he stopped playing sports. I'm the short- always- been heavy girl who would strictly diet, get easily discouraged by minimal loss, eat, regain etc etc. Anyway- -we have ultrasound and endoscopy to go. 2 week lc diet to start black Friday and that'll be it! Nice meeting you all and best wishes! Stay strong! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
