byjenna 8 Posted September 30, 2013 My surgery is on Tuesday morning. I've done little else but dream of this day for the past 6 months. I've done my research and I'm proud of myself for commiting to the prep program. But now as the day hangs near I am terri fied. I think about neing put under and sliced up and my heart begins racing. I'm a single mom and my 15 year old needs me in his life (ironically that is one of the reasons I chose the surgery- so that I can live a long healthy life.) I am not having second thoughts but the fear is overwhelming.
steph62872 7 Posted September 30, 2013 Byjenna.....I had my surgery on Monday. I too am a single parent of a 17 yr old son. I kept busy the day before. I organized my closet by sz. 2x, 1x, and what i previously called my wishful thinking clothes. Good Luck to you
DebDUtah 67 Posted September 30, 2013 I had my surgery on Tuesday, and I too am a single parent. I am home and feel great. I would have thought I would have been feeling more discomfort but from the moment I woke up, nothing. It is a second chance on life. Do not worry, you get thru this with flying colors, best of luck. 1 Susie in Lima reacted to this
