It's kind of crazy too me that I had this surgery and I and most of the people I told about thought oh the pounds would just fall off ,well not true ,I find that every day that I workout I lose a pd but if I take a day or two off from workingout I don't lose anything ,so happy I luv workingout or maybe I would only lose a few pounds every two weeks like I was before I was cleared for exercise ,anyone else going threw this ?

Looks like you're doing great! Keep in mind even with daily exercise those numbers might slow down now and then so there may be days or weeks with less than a lb a day loss.

In the beginning I was having weight loss like that, but I have hit a stall since having my gallbladder out and have only lost 3 pounds in the last six weeks. The past two weeks I have been doing very intense workouts with my trainer four times a week so I am hoping I will start to see the scale move again. BUT, my clothes are a bit looser so even though the scale has not been my friend, I know the exercise is working and I am losing fat and gaining muscle.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
