I was on weight restriction for six weeks, but I could walk before that (almost immediately). I don't recommend something like rollercoasters before that because your stitches (internal ones) are still healing. A Water slide would probably be ok as long as it didn't jerk you around.

The first three months was the toughest. I went back to work after two weeks, and I was very tired for the first few months. I started feeling better (normal) around 3 months.

You might be able to go on roller coasters and Water slides at six weeks, as long as you don't have any surgery complications, but that is definitely a question for your surgeon. I wouldn't have been able to do either at week six because I had an incision that had still not healed so I would not have been able to go in the water plus I was still having a little pain from my large incision so the rollercoaster would have been out. As far as feeling like yourself again, we are all different. I was feeling "normal" by week 6 because I was finally able to eat enough calories to have energy to do all my daily activities without any issues.

It is a life-changing decision, and it is normal to be weighing the pro's and con's. For me, the pro's outweighed the con's and I decided to go for it- I have been so happy with my decision. I have had a few minor bumps in the road, but nothing that has ever once made me regret my decision. For me, it was what I needed to do to get my health and my life under control.

I never regretted my decision. I was 90 percent back to normal at 6 weeks, but I still didn't push it with too many weights and was tired. Iron Vitamins helped.

I am wondering if 64 oz. of Water is really needed by all people. Or do some people only need 40 oz. I cannot get 64 oz. in. And another question. Is chewable multi vits. are for life or certain period. They too are getting hard to take.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
