JellyBean2012 23 Posted September 29, 2013 Please tell me shaving my zone will get easier. I'm so tired of the touch and shave that I've been doing for years. LOL 3 heatonsgal, 2btrim and hopeliveshere reacted to this
makemyownluck 785 Posted September 29, 2013 I wouldn't know.. I wax. I started waxing because standing in the shower and pulling back the belly to get to it is just dangerous! So with the wax, I can lay down and let someone else deal with it!
JellyBean2012 23 Posted September 29, 2013 OMG I'm to afraid of the pain of waxing.
Momonanomo 534 Posted September 29, 2013 I recently started laser treatments & i wish i had done it years ago! I have had problems with ingrowns, even when i got professional waxing. Never again! It does seem expensive, but if you calculate the cost of razors or waxing over a lifetime, it is actually cheaper. No more fussing with it, and no more ingrowns!!! 1 JellyBean2012 reacted to this
supbanana 153 Posted September 29, 2013 I don't shave that area but my 'apron' has shrunk a lot so I can actually look down and see my pubes now. I imagine if I did shave down there it would be loads easier now. On the other hand, my facial hair is going crazy. it's always been a problem but now it's coming in really thick and fast, and worse is some of the hairs are jet black since the surgery (I'm blonde, wtf?). If I weren't blonde I would laser off this hot mess in a heartbeat. 1 ggdrop reacted to this
JellyBean2012 23 Posted September 29, 2013 Hope my facial hair doesn't get worse if it does im going to have to look into laser treatments for sure. I'm more self conscious of the facial hair than my weight. But hair doesn't affect my health. 1 supbanana reacted to this
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted September 30, 2013 I only had temporary results with laser. 3 years later and it is nearly as bad as before. I quit after the 6 treatments but I think I need to keep going forever it is just less often over time.

makemyownluck 785 Posted September 30, 2013 Waxing was painful the first couple of times, but you get used to it over time. It was painful the first time I plucked my eyebrows, but that's no problem now. I love getting waxed. The slight sting is almost like therapy... and I love the smoothness and how my hair grows in finer and softer now. Try it! 1 nsquared reacted to this

katie75009 34 Posted September 30, 2013 I'm almost two months out and down 47 pounds including pre op. I shave and it is waaaaay easier now. I can see much more (still not everything), but its much better. It doesn't seem like such a chore as before. 1 heatonsgal reacted to this

aquitenonnymouse 206 Posted October 21, 2013 I've noticed an increase in facial hair also- upper lip, and neck/under chin. As we lose weight, our body produces less estrogen (fueled by amount of adipose- fat- tissue in the body), and produces more testosterone. It stinks, but... eh. I'd rather be thinner and healthier, and break out the tweezer more.
