TX_Kimmie 0 Posted January 22, 2007 Ladies. I have a silly and embarrassing question. :omg: I am self pay, went thru seminar, consultation w/ doc, etc... (all preliminary goodies). I was thrilled to get my surgery date. Over the weekend I have realized it is right about the time I will be on my cycle. Can you believe the timing? Do you know if that is a problem with the surgery? Not that he will be operating in that area, but still, I am unsure. Any women have any insight on this? I feel like such a dork for asking, be need the banders to throw in their two cents. Thanks!
DrewsLou 3 Posted January 22, 2007 It wasn't an issue for me. I lucked out and I wasn't having my TOM then. I have seen other posts about this very subject here on LBT and it seems to be a non-issue for most women. If you are on your TOM they may ask that you wear a pad instead of a tampon but other than that you should be fine!
Turner24 0 Posted January 22, 2007 I started the day after my surgery... wasn't supposed to...guess it was stress, anyhoo was fine. Just really hard to bend and put in tampons LOL!! turner24
TX_Kimmie 0 Posted January 22, 2007 I was more concerned they might ask me to change my surgery date. Hoping to avoid that....guess I will be uncomforable either way; TOM and surgery - ha!
Wheetsin 714 Posted January 22, 2007 This has been asked many times. The answer is always "no problem", and that they will get you by with a large pad and granny panties.
