I'm a newbie

mrs.material - (you too Lisa :) )

welcome aboard ladies :)

thank you for joining us :)

can't have too many nice people like you two!!!!

everyone here is nice (unless there not!! )

lots of good info and support

congrats on starting your way to a healthier, happier, longer life with your new best friend - the sleeve

many/most of us have an emotional rollercoaster on their way to being sleeved

being excited, nervous - very common

waiting for approval is miserable

hopefully things will work out fine

then you'll go through all the "hoops" tests/supervised nutritional diet - lab work et al

this is a life long change in eating/drinking habits

once you reach goal - "we" all know the harder part is maintaining

but - if you work with the sleeve - the sleeve will work for you

great road ahead of you............bumpy here and there - but what isn't???

best of luck to all you newbies

kathy

Hey there,

My suggestion is that you ask lots of questions, research the heck out of the subject to know what you are getting into and prepare yourself mentally for it. This is a big deal and not something to go into lightly. The best thing you can do for yourself is to make sure that you are 100% all in! Ready to make changes! Changes in the way you eat, changes in the way you drink, changes in the way you cope with things, changes in the your physical activities, changes in the way you socialize and a lot of other changes that you have to be ready to make. But guess what? Once you make these changes, you will begin to see changes in you! Changes in the way your body looks, changes in the way your body feels, changes in the way people look at you, changes in your health, and those changes add up to make all those other changes worth it!

So, get prepared! That is my advice! It is going to be a great ride!

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
