KeeWee 470 Posted November 15, 2013 **Sniffle**, just went natural for my hair to start growing thinking shoulder length should be nice but after a whole year, it's now down my back and I am not looking forward to the shedding part....ugh but at least, it stops and hopefully regrows fully!! 1 Scorpion11 reacted to this
SueJH 205 Posted November 16, 2013 Hey Molly, it has been a couple more months since this post. How is the hair situation? I'm just over 5 months and some days I think it might be getting better, but not really sure. Partly because I cut most of it off the last time I went to my hairdresser so it's not as noticeable as when I had the long hair. I sure hope it stops soon! I want to grow it out again!! ajustice 484 Posted November 16, 2013 Curious about this also..almost 7 months out and my Hair loss is shocking!
PsychoVGS 16 Posted November 16, 2013 I too am horrified by the gobs of hair that Im losing on a daily basis. Im 5 months post sleeve and have been noticing Hair loss for the past several weeks. Ive been careful to take all Vitamins associated with keeping hair in good health, but I think there is probably nothing that can prevent the loss of hair when we lose so much weight so rapidly. Still… hard to cope with.
scarlet333 386 Posted November 16, 2013 I was shedding like crazy starting with month 3 post op but then by around month 6 it slowed significantly and then by month 8 or so I think its back to normal. My theory on this is to really monitor and focus on Protein intake. And keep in mind that there is a time lag between when you start eating alot of Protein and when you seen results. I think thats why hair loss only starts around month 3 for most people. So if you up protein then it might take 2 to 3 months before you see improvement.
