I was given a prescription for 1000 mcg injection once a week after my initial lab work done 3+ months before surgery & am to continue until I have lab work done again 3 months post-op. It only costs $11.08 with insurance, $13.19 without, every 4 weeks. It's not a problem giving myself injections as I've given myself insulin injections for 20+ years.

I love Spark by Advocare (fruit punch flavor, yum). Each 8 oz drink has 750% of your B12 and B6, with amino acids to help with focus power. It definately works. I feel an energy rush immediately and lasts a long time. You can have up to 2 per day. I usually just need one about 2 o'clock, along with a good cup of coffee about 8am and I am set. I have friends who have replaced their morning with coffee, I just cant do it. It would be perfect for those still in the healing stage.

One every 3 months for the first year. Then every 6 / 12 months if your levels drop.

The dose: 1 mg

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
