Crazy Over Eating

Recommended Posts

I think my doctor sent in all my info to the insurance today. So I am waiting on the word. Since I started on this journey a few months ago I have been eating like crazy. I can't seem to get a hold of myself. Anyone else do that?

I ate several things I really liked but hardly ever ate because they are terrible for you. But thought may as well eat this now ill probably never eat it again!! I didn't over do it tho.

Chili cheese fries

Carne Asada nachos

Ribs

Mac n cheese

Pulled pork

Yeah the 5 weeks leading up to approval I had 1 thing off that list a week.. I tried to control my desire to binge!

But I did eat crap before I was approved

I had a food funeral before my surgery as well. I ate the things I knew I would never eat again especially in that amount...

I am glad I did it..The last meal I had was curried meatballs and rice...my favorite! No regrets here...never lost any weight that 2 weeks but I did not care as I would have the rest of my life to lose weight.....

Yes, I ate whatever I wanted (pretty much) between my initial consultation and day of surgery. I felt a litte bit out of control, but in the same way that I felt out of control when I failed at a diet. I gained 7 pounds between May 1 and July 9.

I tried to have a food.funeral the day before my liquid diet started and piled my plate with food only to get full a fourth of the way through!

My surgeon would say never, ever, not now, not later should you eat those crap foods. BUT we all go through the mental struggle and sometimes we need a food funeral like saying goodbye to a security blanket.

Fact is, one can eat most of those foods again very soon post op if we try. The decision not to do it AFTER surgery is the more important one.
