Kayleen1984 6 Posted September 26, 2013 How many days do you have?. I'm on day 5 right now. My doc says I can have oatmeal but it has to be blended and thinned.
StephaniesCharm 4 Posted September 26, 2013 When I was banded, I used the different baby food cereals, oatmeal with mixed fruit or with bananas... A week out. But this time having had the sleeve (and only one week out), my post op diet doesn't included it at all.

krislaw33 25 Posted September 26, 2013 Actually ate low sugar instant oatmeal for the 1st time today and I'm 7 days post op. It's on my list of can have's, just thinned a bit with Water. Wasn't able to eat but a 1/2 cup cooked but it was the best oatmeal I've ever had! So glad to be off clears liquids!
LouiseC 1,031 Posted September 26, 2013 I had porridge (which I think is what Americans call steel cut oats) within the first week. It was on my plan and helped with post OP Constipation too. However everyone has a different plan so follow what your NUT/ surgeon recommends.
