Ms.Yvette 96 Posted September 25, 2013 I haven't had surgery yet but I've read that warm Water helped others. Staying hydrated is hard. Hope the warm water works.

Shells_Almost_There 357 Posted September 25, 2013 My suggestion is to try even smaller sips. Early in the post-op phase, I could barely sip 1/5 of that tiny cup they give us at the hospital and I was burping and in a bit of pain. Now, a week later, it's much better. I also experimented with Water temp and for me it turned out anything super cold went down better. Finding the right temp for you could really help. Good luck! Arts137 1,811 Posted September 25, 2013 Try different temperatures, and different non-caloric (and non-carbonated) liquids, and different "size" sips. 1 JerseyGirl68 reacted to this
hubbachubba 20 Posted September 25, 2013 I am the same, it took me a good week and a half to really start taking a good amount of Water. You have to remember that your stomach is swollen d=from the surgery, Just do tiny sips, have a bottle next to you, so you know how much you are drinking daily. I am now 2 weeks post surgery and can now almost do 1.5 litres. I am getting there, but don't push yourself.
JerseyGirl68 1,172 Posted September 25, 2013 I had the same issue initially. It just didnt' go as smooth as other drinks. I substituted Vitamin Water Zero and was able to get all my Fluid in much easier. Any Decaf, zero calorie drink is good as long as you're getting in your liquids.< /p>
