Meridia AND the Band

Hello All,

Has anyone used meridida prior to and with the Band? If so what was your experience?

About 3 years before I was banded I was on Meridia for a year. I lost 80 pounds. I loved it.

But of course, as soon as I went off the Meridia... The weight jumped back on.

One year was the longest my PCP would prescribe the drug.

Hi! Ive used other diet pills other than Meridia... mainly because of the cost. (It seems like Ive talked to you about this diet pill stuff before).

Anyhow, prior to my first fill I took a couple of diet pills to help with the weight loss - mainly not to regain my initial 12lb loss. I certainly dont think it will hurt the band... did you ask your surgeon about the meridia or your pcp???
