Hello Everyone

I am a Nurse so going into this surgery I was a little troubled about getting the surgery. At first I was getting the Lap Band until I had a bad sprain to a ankle that I previously fractured really bad. With the help of my Dietitian and Surgeon I decided to go with the Sleeve. Because of my injury I gained and lost gained finally day of surgery I weighed in at 341lbs. The surgery went well but my first couple of days were painful. I had vomiting, nausea, and horrible gas pains. On top of everything I started my cycle ten days earlier as well. I have been able to tolerate juices broths and I am trying a cream Soup tonight for the first time. I had my favorite restaurant to blend blend my favorite cream of crab Soup. I am also feeling some numbness in my right arm and having a hard time sleeping. Will this go away?

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
