It is where they put you out and go down your throat to make sure everything is okay and no surprises. My dr has to have one before he will do surgery

i had my egd in August.

My insurance won't let me until after the 6 months is over. Totally stinks

Oh they don't require that where I go. Although I had one a few years back so maybe that's why I don't need one. Not sure. I have to have an upper GI. Its tomorrow morning. I just have to swallow some goop. Hopefully I get the all clear. At the moment I just need to step away from the cinnamon toast crunch lol

I have an upper GI and 2 appointments to go. So I'm about 2 months out. However I need to lose 14 total and I'm only down 2.5. I'm down to 2 shakes and meal, nothing more and I workout 45min 5x a week. The scale won't budge. I started this in July but I've been trying to get back in the 220's for 2 years. I don't know what else to do. The pre op weight loss is all that's standing in my way. Congrays on the 15 lost, any tips?

Protein in first, keep carbs very low, no sugar, no soda, no bread, no Pasta, no rice..

You'll lose it very quickly.

I don't have to lose before surgery...but I've changed a few things on my own...cut out all the things I've listed..and have loss weight..
