The anesthesia and the "trauma" of the surgery totally wack out your hormones. Some people start early some people late. It is nothing to worry about. Part of the healing process! I hope you are feeling pretty good post OP!

Mine was way out of wack. Came 2 days after surgery, & that was 2 weeks early. I'd get it twice in one month, i missed it for a couple of months too. Went back to normal after 6 months. Now I'm 10 1/2 months post op & now it's 2 weeks late.

my doctor actually said it might not be regular after surgery (even though i'm not regular anyway), but they did say i couldn't use my birth control 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after my surgery. which i find weird, i guess hormones affect you a lot more than you think. hm!

Mine was weird as well. Before I had my surgery, it was irregular because I was overweight. I did not had my period for an amount of years when I was heavy. Now, almost six month post-op, I am on my periods again. In fact, I've just started on my third month period today. So, it's a relief that they are a month apart.

These happen after surgery, so it should not be a problem. But if something happens, let the doctor know about it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
