Premiere protein shakes!

Recommended Posts

I got the Premiere Protein shakes from SAMs club today, for the past week I've been living in a dream and thought I could get most of my Protein from my foods since I was moved to fork tender foods (which last until 6 months) that did not happen!!! So Tmrw I will start back drinking one shake a day until I can break this head hunger and these cravings!!! I have to stay focused!!! So I'm giving these a chance....I've not been able to handle any other shakes (they make me vomit) :P

I love the chocolate ones,(the vanilla flavor is way too sweet for me). I think they taste like chocolate milk especially over ice, and yet, my husband hates them...go figure.

I like them a lot and had one every morning for the Breakfast for the eight months or so. I like the chocolate better than the vanilla, both they're both okay to me.

I love the premier shakes, the only one I have tolerated so far. I'm 4 months post surgery and like to alternate a "fortified" greek yogurt and the premier shakes for breakfast each day. I like starting my day with a 30 gram Protein shot! Glad you found something that will work for you too!

I have used the Premier shakes from Sam's since my surgery, I bought 2 cases before I had the surgery and still use them to this day, I drink one per day, 1 for the Protein, 2 for the Vitamins, yes I also take 2 Centrum chewable daily. but I love the taste of the chocolate ones, I have NEVER tried any other flavor...I have also recommended these to others as to me they taste the best! best of luck to all you "newbies" If I can help just give a shout~ Ü

Love them. Only tried the chocolate and when I get tired of chocolate I just add PB2 or sugar free syrups to change the flavor.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
