Recommended Posts

I just turned one month yesterday.....

How are you guys doing after one month??

What are you eating? I still prefer soft stuff.

Are you able to drink your Protein? Me most of it.

Are you drinking all your fluids? I can't.

Are you guys exercising yet? I'm afraid to start.

How about them Vitamins? I'm taking regular pills

Any hair issues? I'm also taking Biotin to try to prevent.

How's your energy? I'm starting to feel much better, feel my energy coming back..

Think im doing ok for the most part. a little over a month out... got kind of tired of the thick shakes so i started making my own portein drinks with a diet ocean spray drink of some sort and Protein powder. pretty tasty and a nice break from the shakes.< /span>

My energy level comes and goes. some days i feel like im good and ready to go. other days im like look, today is going to be a 'no do nothing day'.

Vitamins would work so much better im sure if i remembered to take them. I take about 7 pills a day so I usually try to pack them up in advance and always run out of the house and leave them behind on the counter.

still eating mushy type foods....canned chicken has become my best friend. I'm learning to make all sorts of chicken meal variations.

and then theres the Water....just like the vitamins...my Water intake would be so much more if i would just remember to drink it. at first i couldnt drink just plain water. needed some sort of drink enhancer in it but now i cant stomach the mio's, crystal light makes me nauesous and that dasani water stuff....forget it. don't know whats going on with that.

i get cleared for exercise at my 6 week check up in october. really excited about that! i miss zumba

glad you're feeling better!

I'm 5 weeks out today. My doc put me on B12 shots once a month because i was so tired. My hubby didn't like giving it to me but he got over it!! I think I feel better?? I can eat most anything as long as I eat slow and sm bites. I bought a pill box and set my pills up for the week and keep it on the counter right by the frig. Haven't forgot once since i did this...

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
