Fit2btied 122 Posted September 23, 2013 Yup. I took the easy way out to have most of my stomach removed in Tijuana' date=' then eating about 800 calories a day for most of a year, and exercising my ass off....LITERALLY! It was super easy. Tell those negative commenters you appreciate their point of view but are pushing on. If they persist? Tell them to go do some deep knee bends in the cucumber patch. You don't have time for that brand of crap! Whew...clearly have some pent up hostility about negative comments!!! LOL[/quote'] Love this! 1 Crystalitee reacted to this
Crystalitee 2 Posted September 23, 2013 Your boss could or could not mean well. How much time you taking off after the surgery? Maybe the boss secretly does not want you to take the time off . You taking time off' date=' the boss might feel he has to take on a new hardship. I would thank him for his concern and let him know you have a group of competent doctors and you understand the complications.[/quote'] Actually my boss is like family to me. She has actually had bypass herself but gained the weight back...so she's my size and we usually have food in common with each other. We eat lunch together and so forth. She didn't have any complications but she also says how much more she weighed like 300lbs. and that I have so little to lose. If I could it would be gone by now. Crystalitee 2 Posted September 23, 2013 You can't let what people say get you down. One of our NNP's here in the NICU - her daughter had the same procedure I did (sleeve) and she's had a ton of complications - every story is unique and different - however complications ARE NOT the norm. I had ZERO. ZERO food intolerances (not exactly proud of that part)... I'm eating 1300 cal's a day average and still losing 2lbs a week on average fairly consistently... Still have 20lbs to go until "IM" happy. That's great! Keep it up you'll make that 20. 1 Huntingnurse reacted to this
makingadjustments 50 Posted September 24, 2013 to hell with negative people you will usually encounter negativity from other people that suffer insecurities within their self...once I mentioned my surgery and someone replied I don't want to be the only fat person in the room hell no...my response I suggest you hit a gym or schedule you a consult and started laughing...people will show you who they really are when you start wanting to make changes or progress for yourself...it's funny how people don't see you as a threat because you are bigger than them but fear rules their mind at the thought of you becoming healthier not just thinner but applying longevity to your life....so again to hell with the negative people do what works for you and will bring a smile to your face...
