Went to my grandpa's 95th birthday party yesterday, my eldest uncle and cousin always make it a point of letting me know how fat i am, not always with words. I am being sleeved October 2nd and I can't wait until they can't judge me by my weight any longer. Family usually is the most brutally honest and the most hurtful.

Sorry that you have to endure that pain. Families can be more hurtful than the the worst school yard bully without even realizing it..

Wishing you well on your upcoming surgery :)

You must be very nice. Me, I believe I would seriously consider giving the "family" the single finger salute. Everybody is "messed up" in some way. Being fat is easy to observe. Being an unsensitive b&^%tard is often a hidden sickness.

This made me laugh out loud. Unfortunately discrimination against fat people is widely acceptable. Of course it always comes from people who eat whatever they want and don't understand a lifelong battle with weight.
