Greetings to you all! I am really curious as people always assume I am older than I am; which is not a bad thing. So I want to do a little experiment, I want to post a picture of myself now, pre-surgery and see how old you think I am. This is not something where you say oh, 19, and think 29 haha. I want the hard numbers that you genuinely see. I want to see if I age from weight loss or lose years. I am attached a few pictures taken within the last year. Thank you for your honesty. Also yes, the little boy is my nephew. Love him so much!!

Sorry I'm a horrible judge of ages!

I usually think people are much older than they are so always say 10 or more years younger when asked.

So I'm guessing you're 12 :D

Whatever age you are I'm pretty sure you will look younger later!

I have a niece with similar features and body composition as you and she is 27......so I'll venture a guess at 27.

Hm, 29-32 ish?

I've often wondered the same thing.

(Eta, you look young 20s in your profile pic and I think late twenties/early thirties in the pic where you're not smiling, but I've always been so bad at this)

Saying that people guess high, makes it more difficult to guess right. Some people get carded in their 40s. You have a young looking face. My guess is you could be as young as 20 or as old as 32.

I'll say 33. But clothes and hairstyles can make someone look older or younger. The first 2 you looked younger than the last 2.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
