SharynP 0 Posted January 20, 2007 I just wanted to say I LOVE MY BAND :clap2:. I'm down about 31kg's since June 20 and am very happy about that. I have 2.3cc's in my 4 cc band and, in hindsight, the second fill I didn't really need. It's been some trip. I still get anxious buying clothes and tend to lurk in the plus size section...it just feels like home there....even though I bought two new tops and a pair of trousers the other day that are a size 12 . I still can't quite believe it. I love not being obsessed by food... playing mind games with myself like.... if I eat this today I won't eat as much tomorrow etc etc. I am even enjoying doing exercise . And to top it all off... someone who was trying to be nasty to me called me a "skinny bitch" HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA - love it .

susannah 2 Posted January 20, 2007 Hey Bronnie, I have 12 sleeps left.:biggrin1: Meanwhile something funny has happened, my body has adapted to the Optifast. I have stopped feeling ravenous and all without the aid of any appetite suppressants. Lost five kilos since starting, and I am going to go out hard this week to lose some more.:clap2: Susannah

SharynP 0 Posted January 21, 2007 LOL YESSSSSSSS! I wish I had leaflets to drop LOL. If we drive or walk past someone my husband now says.........."dont say it". I cant help saying... oh she/he could use a lap band LOL Two people at my work place are now banded and a third is considering it. I didn't tell anyone at first but as they all thought I was dying (I lost quickly at first, had a couple of weeks off work, and got the receptionists to witness my Will before leave so they all put 2 and 2 together and came up with 5 lol) I had to own up lol. bronnie70 0 Posted January 21, 2007 I had really never heard of lapbanding until about a year ago when i met a woman who said she once weighed 130kg. I looked at her in disbelief as there she stood at 55kg. So... i asked how etc etc After she mentioned the words Lapbanding and passed me a card with the surgeons name on it... i went home and started researching. Although i most probably will never see the woman again... i have her to thank for bringing the awareness to me that i am indeed obese and now am on a journey to finally put an end to my life as a 'fatty" So.... i would encourage anyone who has had lapbanding done and seen successful results to tell people they know that are in the overweight/obese criteria. You may just be helping someone to take that step.. ------------------------------------------------- Yet to be banded 1st Consult with surgeon: 12/2/07 Dietician and physician appointments: 14/2/
