On holiday in the USA recommend me food products

I'm here visiting my family and have just discovered crystal light. I'm having trouble drinking Water and need flavoring. So I added a sachet of it to a glass of Water. But it was way too sweet and strong.

So I'm going to experiment.

But what other food/drink products that are bariatric friendly.

I use a half sachet is almost 20 oz of water. It is indeed way too sweet otherwise. Mio drops are also good for flavoring water.

As to the rest of it, my preference is to eat real food rather than packaged so I may not be of much help here. But Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, chicken, ground beef, fish like tilapia, salmon cod, shrimp (prawns), scallops, etc are all good options.

Love this but it IS (for me anyway) hard to find. I had to have my grocery story special order it (pretty easy to buy online tho...)

Anyway it is like adding a bit of squeezed lime to your Water. NO SWEET at all. If you buy the shaker jar (they sell packets too the size of a sugar or Splenda packet) it's too strong IMO. But a little shake of this in my Water makes me so happy!

You can purchase this on the real lemon website.

Mexican food like Beans (refried or charro or black beans), shredded chicken dishes, ground meat dishes, chicken fajitas. Just watch the fat content with too much cheese and avoid fried things.

Perfect thank you all for your suggestions. We went off to whole foods today and I got some oats for Breakfast and crackers for lunch. Just delicious.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
