Surgery Nov. 18 - the holidays

For those of you that survived the holidays last year, how did you do it? I will literally be on liquids for Thanksgiving. Not too concerned about that. But Christmas I'll be on soft foods and won't be at my house. I'm curious how you guys dealt with this.

Glad you asked this, I am wondering the same thing schedule for the Nov 18th surgery date. Not to mention my birthday is a week after, at least my husband will not to have to worry about taking me to dinner. haha.

November 11th is my surgery date so I ill be on Soft food for the holidays. I wonder if cornbread dressing counts as a soft haha!

I was afraid of being on such a restricted diet for the holidays so I did what I could to insure I would be able to eat soft foods. I hope there is some insight for you.

You will be fine during the holidays. You just have to plan ahead of time what to eat instead and be creative about it. You might think it will be difficult but when the holidays come around, you will actually find out that just looking at some of the food makes you sick not to talk of eating them.
