Ninja vs. Nutra Bullet

Recommended Posts

I'm a about a month away from surgery and planning out meals (if you can call liquids a meal  ). I'm thinking I should probably upgrade my GE personal blender. Does anyone own the Ninja or the Nutra Bullet? I'm leaning towards the Ninja but I'd like to hear from folks who already use them.

Thanks in advance!

I just received my nutri-bullet two days ago. I love it! I use the small cup. I like the handle that can be screwed on. It blends like a beast! Easy clean up too! After surgery and healed up tummy I plan on using it to get Fiber in. Plus I'm on a new path of living healthy. This will be yet another tool for me. :-). Best wishes!!!

I have a Kitchen Aid hand blender and a regular blender like yours.........and found no need to upgrade....just thought I'd put that out there.....I try to save $ where I can, and wanted to share.....good luck whatever you decide.

What?!?! Oh no that just sealed the deal. I gotta have crushed ice, it's a deal breaker. Hello Ninja, lol.

I love my ninja. I use the individual piece 99% of the time and have never found it to be a hassle. The large part is easy to clean the blades a little more difficult because there are so many, but nothing hot Water can't take care of. I bake and I use my ninja to make frosting, batter, fillings. Easy peezy. Love it!

My Bullet crushes ice and makes my shake almost like ice cream. I wonder if it's the year you bought it because mine does everything a ninja does. I have had both and love my bullet so much more.

The Bullet is a great product, but wears out pretty quickly. The Ninja is more expensive for a reason. It does everything. The Ninja's single serving cup takes about a minute to clean. You can decide if that's a hassle. I don't know one person that traded the Ninja for a Bullet.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
