J.Diesel 220 Posted September 20, 2013 are you truly hungry or are you mind hungry?? 10 days post op, I was still on a liquid diet about to enter the pureed stage. You might be tired of liquids.< /p> 1 debraeve reacted to this

endless80 697 Posted September 20, 2013 I was sleeved Sept 10th as well. I totally understand.. at this point I am already eating lots of Tomato Soup and also moderate (and very chewed up amounts) of cottage cheese.< /p>
Greeknugget 56 Posted September 20, 2013 Yes. I get this way, especially if I've had more carbs. Protein helps me fight hunger. Also, I'm not working again yet so I have a lot of time to think. That's bad. I do think the pouch empties fast. Small meals a day are good.
marfar7 1,533 Posted September 20, 2013 I believe that some of us have true hunger. I started getting hungry on day 10. I'm bummed I'm not 1 of the lucky ones that don't feel hunger. I also don't believe its acid, as some suggest. I take a PPI 2x a day and I've been feeling hunger for 46 yrs, I know what it feels like. Some of us r lucky, some aren't. It doesn't take much to satiate me but then I'm hungry 90 mins later. Thank God I can only eat so little when I do eat... 3 juliansmommy, Mayadidas718 and Old self reacted to this

I never had a reprieve from hunger, I've just learned to live with it. Some days are easier than others.
sunny2day 50 Posted September 21, 2013 I have not been sleeved yet, but my main reason for wanting the sleeve is because I constantly feel hungry. I am hoping the sleeve will help curve this craving, but luckily my doc is making me really work on what I am eating now so that after the sleeve I have a foundation to work with. Good Luck, I really hope this is a phase for you and it will slowly dissipate. I can really relate to hunger issues. 1 thedivinemsQ reacted to this
thedivinemsQ 89 Posted September 21, 2013 I was STARVING week 2 and also weak and very tired. I was supposed to hold off on Liquid Protein until day 15, but I couldn't do it so I added very watered down Premier Protein shake -2 oz 3 times per day and this made me feel WAY better. I was missing the Protein. I was not one of the lucky ones that got my hunger removed with my stomach, but 3 months out and a cheese stick is enough for hours so that is AWESOME! It changes a lot once you move to mushies because once you are getting some real food there is definitely more satisfaction. 1 sunny2day reacted to this
