elpaso73 66 Posted September 20, 2013 Does anyone feel his tailbone when sitting? Since I lost weight I can barely sit on any support. It's like I lost my cushions lol. when I sit on a flat surface I feel my thigh bone and joint, and my coccyx is uncomfortable and painful. At first, it was just a little sore sometimes, not having any real impact on my day-to-day. It slowly and gradually got more painful. Lately, if I'm on my feet, even just cooking or washing dishes, for only a half hour, my tailbone and the area around it throb and ache. I hope I'm not the only one around with this weird pain. kathp 81 Posted September 20, 2013 I have the same problem, and I know of others who have lost a lot that have the same problem. Goes along with being cold in temperatures that used to be comfortable or too warm... Mine is more just sore from sitting too long and having lost the padding. Yours sounds like something else might be wrong if it's getting worse. Maybe your spine is readjusting or something. Do you see a massage therapist or chiropractor? Or even your doctor. (standard disclaimer on my medical advice, just thoughts, of course). 1 elpaso73 reacted to this
Sassygirl06 962 Posted September 20, 2013 Yes, yes, yes! I had this pain starting at about 6 months after surgery. It lasted about 8-9 months...then I guess my dairy- air got used to having less cushion and it went away, so there is hope! 1 elpaso73 reacted to this
elpaso73 66 Posted September 20, 2013 Thanks for ur reply. I've been reading on internet that this is a common pain for people who dramatically lose weight. It has nothing to do with posture. I am not sure if I am describing well. The pain gets worse after a long period of sitting. I think I should do some workout to grow muscles in that area. OMG, I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE! I started referring to it as my "you've been sitting too long" alarm. I don't have this issue standing, however. 1 elpaso73 reacted to this

Sassygirl06 962 Posted September 20, 2013 In a way it does have something to do with posture, because for a while we still walk like we are carrying around all of that extra weight out of habit. I believe it gets better because we start adjusting slowly to our new weight. It is very hard to break habits that we don't even realize that we have! Lol 1 elpaso73 reacted to this

Indigo1991 1,612 Posted September 20, 2013 Me, me, me, this has been happening to me too!!! I have been give exercises by a trainer that are Pilates based to build muscle tone in my behind to try to replace a bit of the fat I lost and give me a cushion. But relieved to hear its not just me :-) 1 elpaso73 reacted to this
