You will lose as much as your body can! If you are bigger, you might lose more. If you are a woman, you 'tend' to lose a bit more slowly. If you are inactive, it might be slower. If you are strict with your program, might lose faster.

But in the end, you will lose as fast as YOU, as ONLY YOU can...

You know, I never kept tabs of how much i lost month by month. I know I was at 171 day of my sleeve (down from 239 with the band).

I do know by June I hit my goal of 139. However, the inches came flying off! And keep in mind, we all lose weight so differently. I see some folks on here are down 60 lbs after a few months (WOW!!). Envious of that..took me a year on the band to lose 68 lbs. ugh!

I set baby goals for myself..10 lbs at a time...

And as for how youll look, you'll look FABULOUS!!! :) no worries there honey.

:) I work in accounting, so I am a real nerd about keeping exact numbers and averages etc. At 16 weeks post surgery, I am down 67 lbs but that includes the 2 week pre-op diet. So 57 lbs since surgery. Big losses initially, then a pattern that follows my TOM. I'm averaging minus 1.36% per week.

HOWEVER! i completely agree with Arts that you will lose exactly the amount that is right for YOU when your follow you plan. It is fun to think about where you could be in the future though :) Rest assured that it WILL be at a smaller size than you are at now. And I agree with Pretty as well --- you WILL look and feel fabulous!

You guys are so sweet! I've got a lot to lose so I imagine I could get lucky and lose a fair amount the first few months. I would be happy with 40 pounds!

Thanks!

I rotate between two Jillian Michael's DVDs about 4 to 5 times a week. I like those because she combines strength, cardio, and abs.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
