I got where I couldn't stand another shake so I tried Isopure. I added a grape crystal lite that to Iospure and added some more Water and it tasted great. Make sure you take stool softeners I found that the Protein really messed me up. Might not bother you but just remember. One way to get your water in.

Okay experiment over and it is not tropical.... I have passionfruit you can definitely do that but honestly I just like took sip out of the bottle before hand and small taste okay but it's not then I could drink the whole 20 ounces of it... So I did like three quarters of the bottle and maybe a cup and a half iceI and hit blend... I honestly think it change the taste and made it tastes a lot worse and made it very Foamy... But it is still a very thin liquids so I don't know why you couldn't other than just adds volume to it and there's already so much you have to drink to get that Protein and you're just adding to it......idk... Thanks for the science project idea....

That stinks :(. So I better get out my shot glasses so I can take small amounts at a time. Ugh

I don't think I really have any concept of how it long it takes to drink 11 ounces at a time or however much when you're taking literally a teaspoon at a time

At Wal mart now they have Protein Shots. 42 grams of Protein. I measured out 1/2 put it in 32 oz of Water and can hardly taste the shot. And this way I am getting 21 grams of protein and my water. I hope to get the rest of my protein in with food.< /p>

Yes BUT you cannot drink the entire RTD bottle and call it a meal because your body can only absorb so much Protein at one time. When I was drinking them i'd do a half bottle at a time. Also gotta warn you that the RTDs have a funky aftertaste to them. I don't mind it but some people can't stand it. Don't buy a case of any flavor until you know for sure.

I'm with you on that. I tried one and almost gagged. I'm not even post Op. Lol. I bought 6 bottles all different flavors. I hope I can use them to get my protein in post Op.

I'll have to try that! I did check with my nutritionist. She said it has 2 different kinds of protein. The way is the best. The college not do much. She still gave it the stamp if approval. :-). Thanks for the idea of adding it to water. :-)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
