supermom223 140 Posted September 17, 2013 Just a question..I am 6 weeks post op.. Had surgery August 8th. I got my period day of surgery. Havent had one since (so 6 weeks) I lost 40 lbs since starting pre-op. I also have Pcos but have ALWAYS had regular periods...And NO Im not pregnant. Has this happened to anyone else after surgery that You either skipped a period or it was weeks late... Im hoping its my hormones and pcos straightening itself out... OKSleever 144 Posted September 17, 2013 Yeah, the surgery makes your hormones go crazy. As long as you're sure you're not preggers, nothing to worry about.

MissErika 65 Posted September 17, 2013 I was 3 weeks late for my period because I was stressed out! Then as I got a date, I was even more stressed out because I didn't want to have my period at the hospital LOL. So yeah, surgery makes hormones go crazy especially with PCOS. I have that as well, don't worry! My periods were also "normal" majority of the time.

But I have been feeling "moody" and have major cravings this week, soooooo, MIT be pms? I have a question though since you also have PCOS, when you had the surgery and they discharged you, did they tell you to stop taking metformin and spironolactone, that is if you were even taking it to begin with.....? 1 supermom223 reacted to this

I just hope my body regulates itself

I lost at a pretty good rate right after surgery, had the usual three week stall, and now I'm losing at a rate of about 2 lbs per week, give or take. I'm pretty happy with that. I've lost 52 lbs in 4.5 months, went from a 22/24 to a 14. I feel a LOT better!
supermom223 140 Posted September 30, 2013 Started AF sept 21st..lasted 7 days exactly (nsv) usually with pcos it was like 10-14 days long...Then today I weighed I dropped 5 lbs..Hopefully the end to my stall...Thanks for all your responses!!!
