Think Sleeve...Be Sleeve 4 Posted September 17, 2013 I am looking for a buddy. This whole process has really freaked me out and I need support. It is hard to talk to the people I know (not that they are not trying) but they don't get it. It be honest I have more people freak out that I am taking such a drastic measure. Last year I got thyroid cancer, it resulted in 2 surgeries and the removal of all of my thyroid. Long story short I am not cancer free but my life is changed forever. I have always struggled with my weight but now it is becoming a bigger problem and health issues become a greater risk to me. I know I need to make this change and I know it is the right choice. Help! 1 badass_ladyfriend reacted to this
Pookeyism 1,143 Posted September 17, 2013 If you need to talk I am more than happy to do so. I can't really hold a conversation at work, but can be free if given some notice in the evenings. The community here can be a tremendous support all on it's own. For the people that seem to not understand, ask them would they have rather you not had the cancer removed? You went through an invasive procedure to remove something makeing you sick. This is no different. You have gone through alot already, wow. Good luck! 1 Think Sleeve...Be Sleeve reacted to this

We have been through such harder things in our life, that this positive choice feels so empowering! I'd love to connect with other May 2014 sleevers and/or cancer survivors! xo lisette!
