420 and gastric sleeve

Recommended Posts

Please don't be judgemental as 420 is legal in my state. I am curious is anyone else is 420 friendly and how soon before surgery you stopped. Also how long you waited to resume. Thank you!

Medical Marijuana.

It's any marijuana really (legal or not). 420 is just a way of not saying it.

Not judging, I have tons of experience! However during a weight loss program why add the challenge of using something that makes you HUNGRY?? That said ,prolly best to wait long enough that any coughing won't rip incisions or your new tummy open, say about a month.

I would avoid it from here on out. Legal does not mean good for you.

There are alot of studies that suggest cannabinoids can be immunomodulatory and liken or increase the disease process. This is a tri-fold problem 1) it can harm your helper cells (T cells, t1 & t2 2)it affects B lympocytes 3)it affects macrophages - this alone is cause for concern - we have antibiotics for bacteria, but the macrophaes in our system are what fights the viruses.

Just proceed with caution, don't smoke it, if you must then vape.

Hey vsginn, I've actually been using for over 10 years no more munchies. Just curious about actual health concerns. Great point though!

I recently quit smoking cigarettes after someone told me that once you damage the aveoli in your lungs, they never repair themselves. Imagine trying to breath out of a coffee straw for the rest of your life. Of course, I already knew that, but the visual made me quit after 15 years of being a heavy smoker. Yikes! Anyway, that's all I have to contribute lol.

Is it for pain control or recreational? If its the latter you might want to talk to your psyche consult about what you get out of it and if you can get to a place where it isnt really a benefit anymore.

I'm not judging either. Ive had to make the same decisions about whether I want to keep alcohol in my life post op. These aren't easy decisions. At least your choice is calorie free!
