Hey guys and girls. I am 5'10 301lbs and I want to get to 200-210. Has anyone been close to the same size. Where did you level off. I don't want to be too small that I look sick. Oh and my BMi is 43. Thx

I can't answer from personal experience but my son is 6'2 and weighs 185 and doesn't look sickly. He looks lean and slender. My husband is 6 and has lost down to 240 and at 200, he will not look sickly. When he's 200, he looked like he could have lost another 10-15 lbs. I think you should be okay.

I would say you would look great at even 170.

Only you can truly answer what the best final weight for you will be. Right now you say 200 -210, but you may change your goal once you achieve this goal.

First hit your initial goal and reevaluate then. Maybe you'll be happy at that weight or you might want to loose another 5 - 10 pounds.

Just my 2 cents...

I'm 5"9 started at 280lbs. Levelling off but still losing maybe 2lbs per month but between 165-170lbs at mo and within normal BMI range. Happy with where im at but would love another 10lbs off :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
