juliansmommy 67 Posted September 16, 2013 Hi. We currently have Cigna... Worst ever! So my hubby is willing to switch and have 20-30 more a month out of his check to make it easier for me. Has anyone done this? Will there be a problem starting the process with one and switching to another? Thanks.
LittleLou 31 Posted September 17, 2013 Why do you consider CiGNA "the worst"?
J.Diesel 220 Posted September 17, 2013 switching insurance might make you start all over again, as every insurance company has their own policy. You may want to understand this before the switch. What insurance does your husband have?
sonya139 95 Posted September 17, 2013 Why don't you like Cigna? I have Cigna and have had several employees get approval with no problems. I've gone through my 3 months supervised PCP visits and so far what they require isn't painful at all.
juliansmommy 67 Posted September 17, 2013 Why do you consider CiGNA "the worst"? For our area they do not cover any phys eval providers. I would have to do out of network and all the drs want Cigna to fill out the paper work and Cigna wants drs. The co pays are very high as well even though we have met the deductible. The new books r coming out so I'm going to see what Independent health offers. The specialty drs that are covered are few and far between.

sonya139 95 Posted September 20, 2013 My Cigna is GREAT!!!
LittleLou 31 Posted September 20, 2013 I really think it has to do with the package your employer chose with CIGNA, and possibly the area you live in. My CIGNA is great and although I'm nervous about the approval part, everything up until now has been easy. Good luck to you!
