Macy6 356 Posted September 15, 2013 I stopped trying Protein Shakes around day 5 and didn't start again until I was nearly 2 weeks out. I did broth etc... But my one and only focus was Water. More important to prevent dehydration at this point. I found I felt much better hydrated, even lacking the Protein. Once I was able to hit my water goal and maintain it I added protein back in and I have felt great. 1 Bethzy143 reacted to this
newat52 1,613 Posted September 15, 2013 Go get some Isopure. It's light and has 2 grams of Protein per oz. You can mix into a crystal light if you don't like the taste or just Water it down. I drank it straight and just made myself learn to like it in the first few weeks after. Made all the difference in my recovery and energy levels. Good luck to you and hang in there, it will get better!
JonRN 14 Posted September 15, 2013 You can try Pure Protein shot it has 42 grams.of protein in 3 ounces. The taste, let's say is unique, and the consistency is kind of like Syrup, but it is only 3 ounces.
sarahj 61 Posted September 15, 2013 I was also having a very hard time with Protein Shakes, not sure if it was the texture or the sweetness. I have recently discovered Nector Lemonade. OMG it is fantastic! Loaded with protein! I ordered the single serving packs and just throw them in my lunch box or purse. I have had it mixed with Water or iced tea (Arnold Palmer). I have also mixed it with crystal light squeezable favors. I ordered it from Amazon. Good luck 1 mamamareli reacted to this
