Derek1701 0 Posted September 14, 2013 I was having major acid issues after being sleeved. I started taking Omeprazole and the burning stopped. But I still feel like I have chunks in my throat. 12 days post op as of today. It makes it hard to drink and impossible to eat. Any suggestions?
AvaFern 3,516 Posted September 14, 2013 Me too! (on the chunks part) I've been taking Prevacid because I thought it might help fix it, but I feel like everytime I swallow the Water has to get past little chunks all the way down to my stomach. It's very uncomfortable. I'm 6 days post-op and I would be interesting in knowing if anyone else had this issue and how long it takes to go away (ohhh I hope it goes away :/ )

That's exactly how I feel. Good to know I'm not the only one.
Derek1701 0 Posted September 16, 2013 So my dietician and dr said it sounds like acid damage to my esophagus. She suggested cold items to soothe and wait 24 hrs. She was right. I felt better yesterday and this morning seem to be improving more.
