Funniest commercial

Recommended Posts

I would have to say my favorite commercial of all time. Was the Citi Identity Theft commercial..

The one with the 2 old ladys sitting on the couch talking about some mtorcycles... LOL.. Too funny.

Esp. when the 1 says "shoot" and the other says "yeah shoot"... LOL

I miss that one

I like the one for the cell phone network - I think it's Verizon - where the family is sitting around the table and Dad keeps sending the kids text messages. He obviously just learned this "trick". Finally, Mom holds out her hand and says, "Give it to me."

So I've actually had some time to watch TV this week (business trip, late night in the hotel, no household responsiblities yay!) And I saw a few that were cute.

One was for some kind of beer, and the guy has a rubber floor installed to keep dropped beer bottles from breaking.

Another was a Sprint anti-theft device, where the guy hits the other guy in the head with his phone. Very funny.

I still love the commercial where the guy takes the VW out for a test drive and then is standing beside it in the parking lot Ooooo-ing and ahhhh-ing over it and he sees a couple walking towards him and the car with a saleman so he bends down and licks the handle...lol...I think most people would only find it super funny if you had a soft spot for VW's but it so reminded me of being a kid and touching certain Cookies on the plate first kind of like you were claiming those for yourself because they now had your germs on them.

When we were kids and still drank pop out of bottles, my friend Larry used to rub the open top in his armpit before handing it over if any of us asked for a drink!

My favorite is the NFL foot ball commerical where there are these two women at a "white sale" (you know towels and crap) and one lady is bent over looking at a lower shelf and there is one standing lady fawning over some towels, takes one and snaps the bent over lady in the butt with it.

The voice over says sometime to the effect of "its football season again"

I also love the beer commerical with the rubber floor. When the cute little Jack Russell terrier goes bouncing out the front door, I nearly pee my pants. :omg:

What about commericals that you hate?

I cannot stand:

  • Head On headache medicine commercials
  • The car ad where the car falls all the way through the center of the earth and ends up in China.

I like the Nicoderm one where the flight attendant is trying to quit smoking (without Nicoderm) and she's losing it with all the passengers. I'll bet there's lots of flight attendants out there that feel like acting like that sometimes, even if they're not quitting smoking.

My favorite commercial is one from that cell phone company that has the slogan "Can you hear me now?" (I can't remember the name of the company.) Anyway, it's the one where he's at the zoo and he walks by the monkey cage and says his line and they show a monkey with a banana to his ear and making noise as if to say "Can you hear me now? Good!" It cracks me up! :pound:

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
