I have fibromyalgia and when I flare up bad I work hard at not walking like I'm in pain. Lol. I try to add a little arm swag to make it look like I'm just strutin my stuff. Haha. So no wheel chair for me. How haventhe gas pains been? That seems to be the worst complaint.[/quote']

I really think since you already deal with pain and have a good attitude unless you have complications (which are rare from what I hear) you will do good. The pain is very manageable. I really did not have much gas pain. I also felt like following the strict pre op diet helped a lot. I lost 12 lbs before surgery. I didn't end up taking all my pain meds they gave us. I did take them the day I was traveling because I was afraid of exerting myself and thought I might over do it. I have not taken any since then. I'm glad your husband is going. I wish mine could've but it was fine.

The Marriott was great. They were very friendly and attentive. They even called my room a couple of times to see if I needed anything. Make sure to take small bills for tipping. Are you staying in the Marriott?
