Eas advantedge carb control protein shakes

Recommended Posts

I am having the rny in March and trying to get a jump start on my meals. I picked up the bulk pack of chocolate shakes yesterday. I like the flavor and will have to try the shake blended with a banana. Sounds great!

Love them myself! I drink all the flavors. I also mix extra Protein powder in them to boost the Protein count. I recommend them completely!

I'm glad to see other people talk about these. When I first got them after surgery no one else on here was drinking them. All I heard about was premire Protein but that's not an option for me because there's no SAMs club or Coscos by me. Te EAS are easy to find and I can get them at the GNC section of my local Rite Aid. I really like the chocolate fudge ones. Haven't tried any other flavors but want to. I've thought about the higher protein ones but they are 300 calorie (eaaak!) and I don't think it will be work it. The carb control ones are great for me even if they're a little less protein. Really glad I see others on board with the EAS shakes!!

I let a bunch of bananas ripen, then I peel them and freeze them in a ziplock freezer bag. I blend a shake with the frozen banana. Yum

I do this also but I use the plain Protein Powder, 1shot of espresso and then top up the espresso by adding ice cold Water to make 240ml. Then blend it up in the ninja yum

I use these also. I found some at my Ollie's store for 2.99/4 pack. The expiration date is 2015 so I stocked up big time. Love the strawberry. Going to Target to find the Caramel, hopefully they have it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
